Kiwis appear on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species. So they ARE endangered, sadly. But, there are so many people who want to help save the kiwis! One way to keep them alive is by making stoat traps. Stoat traps, are basically boxes with stoat poisoning or harmful objects that collapse onto the stoat, killing it. Another way to protect kiwis is to get your dog kiwi avoidance trained so it won’ eat any kiwi birds. There are SO many ways to protect kiwis! One way, is by donating money to the National Kiwi Hatchery Aotearoa through this website. So go ahead, do your part and protect the kiwis from danger!
