Learn about how people are caring for kiwis.

The National Kiwi Hatchery Aotearoa.

The National Kiwi Hatchery Aotearoa, are world leaders in kiwi conservation. They find kiwi eggs and take them to the hatchery where they are incubated until they hatch. Then, the new born chicks are taken care of until they’re old enough, heavy enough, and healthy enough to be released back into the wild.

We list this organization first because this website is here to raise money to send to this specific hatchery. But there are several really great organizations who love and help kiwis so that they can be safe.

Kiwis for Kiwi.

Kiwis for Kiwi is another organization dedicated to saving New Zealand’s national bird, the kiwi. They are a group of people (members and volunteers alike) who look for kiwi birds out in the wild, take them back to their headquarters, give them thorough check-ups, and send them back into their natural habitat. They also have multiple other facts about protecting kiwis like getting your dog kiwi avoidance trained, and why kiwi crossing signs are important.

You can protect kiwis too.

You can help the kiwis as well! So what do say? Donate some money through this website to the National Kiwi Hatchery Aorearoa and do your part in protecting the famous icon of New Zealand.

Save The Kiwis.

This is Save The Kiwis, where we all work hard to raise money for the National Kiwi Hatchery Aorearoa. You can be a part of it too! So let’s do it! Saving the kiwis may seem like a daunting task, but it’s definitely possible with your help.
